volunteers. This Volunteer Policy outlines the expectations, rights, and
responsibilities of volunteers at Madhok Foundation.
Who Can Volunteer?
We welcome all individuals who are passionate about making a difference.
- Minimum Age: You must be 16 years or older
to volunteer with us. Volunteers under 18 years of age must provide parental
consent.
- No Fees: Volunteering with Madhok Foundation is
completely free. We do not charge any fees for registration,
training, or participation.
- Diversity: We welcome volunteers regardless of background,
religion, gender, nationality, or ability.
Volunteer Responsibilities
As a volunteer of Madhok Foundation, you are expected to:
- Perform Assigned Tasks: Complete assigned tasks to the
best of your ability and with dedication.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Respect and maintain the
confidentiality of all sensitive information related to the organization,
beneficiaries, and fellow volunteers.
- Respect Rights & Dignity: Treat all beneficiaries,
staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and dignity, without discrimination.
- Adhere to Policies: Follow all Madhok Foundation policies,
procedures, and code of conduct.
- Be Accountable: Notify your supervisor in advance if
you are unable to attend scheduled volunteering sessions.
- Represent Positively: Represent Madhok Foundation
positively in the community and on social media.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain professional conduct and
avoid any behavior that could harm the reputation of the organization.
Volunteer Rights
✅ Your Rights as a Volunteer
As a valued volunteer at Madhok Foundation, you have the right to:
- Safe Environment: Work in a safe, healthy, and supportive
environment free from harassment and discrimination.
- Respect & Dignity: Be treated with respect, dignity,
and appreciation for your contributions.
- Recognition: Have your contributions recognized and
valued by the organization.
- Certificate of Volunteering: Receive a certificate of
volunteering upon successful completion of at least 1 month
of service.
- Reference: Request a reference letter after making a
substantial contribution to the organization (minimum 3 months
of service).
- Feedback: Voice concerns, provide feedback, or make
suggestions without fear of retaliation.
- Training: Receive appropriate training and orientation
for the tasks you are assigned.
- Breaks: Take reasonable breaks during volunteering sessions.
Volunteering Schedule
Flexibility: We understand that volunteers have other
commitments. We work with you to create a schedule that is mutually beneficial.
- Commitment: We request a minimum commitment of
4 hours per week for regular volunteers.
- Schedule: Volunteer schedules are agreed upon with
your supervisor in advance.
- Availability: Please inform your supervisor of your
availability and any changes at least 24 hours in advance.
Concluding Volunteering
Volunteering may be concluded for various reasons:
- Completion: Successful completion of the agreed time
period or project.
- Voluntary Withdrawal: Your decision to discontinue
volunteering with reasonable notice.
- Organizational Changes: Changes in organizational needs
or programs that affect volunteer positions.
- Policy Violations: Performance or conduct issues that
violate our policies.
📝 Notice Period
We request a minimum of one week's notice for regular
volunteers who wish to discontinue their service. This helps us ensure
a smooth transition and continuity of our programs.
